Engraved Mirrored Glass with the Silver Bullet Professional.
I was very excited to try engraving on glass. I don’t recommend engraving on thin glass or any glass, as there is a possibility the glass will shatter with the constant force of the engraver coming down on it. And the potential to damage the engraving tip. I suggest using Acrylic or Plexiglass for engraving on.
I went to my one of my local glass shops and asked if they had any leftover glass or plexiglass from customer jobs they could not utilize. The owner was happy to supply me with some. He even cut a few extra pieces for me. How amazing was that!!
The Silver Bullet Professional and Engraving Tip did a fantastic job. I used one of the files supplied when purchasing the machine. Sorry about the photo quality, I was trying to avoid having both the camera and tripod in the shot. The mirror looks really nice in person.
Force set at 105 and Velocity of 750. All four edges of the glass were taped to the mat using painters tape.
I hope you enjoyed my project, thanks for visiting.

Thanks Jana, the Silver Bullet is an amazing machine. I need to purchase some acrylic as I don’t recommend engraving on glass. I was afraid it was going to shatter, luckily it did not. 🙂

Hello Miriam, that was my first try. 🙂 I do not recommended using glass, I took a chance because I did not have any acrylic. Thanks for visiting my blog!
