Open Path Fonts – OPF
Many of us have WAY too many (raises hand) but yet, we’re always searching for more. When used with our die cutting machines, the projects we can create are endless.
The Sure Cuts A Lot program has a few ways to preview fonts in the software, and the Library is just one way. The Library gives us the ability to see each letter or glyph.
Recently, some font designers have started coding their fonts so you can now view the extended characters sets. With the release of SCAL version 4, you’re now able to access those additional characters and selecting text is a breeze!
A favorite project for so many is writing or drawing using our die cutting machines. TTF create an outline versus a single line, and that’s not desirable for most writing projects. What we need is an OPF or Open Path Font. It’s specifically designed for writing single lines. Currently, there are not many available.
The LD Cursive font is perfect for journaling on a layout page, sentiment for a card, or tag project. It’s from the Thin Fonts Bundle by Lettering Delights, and right now it’s on sale. Using the additional 60% off coupon, FALL4FALL makes this a fantastic deal!!! You receive both the TTF and OPF in the download. Hurry, not sure how long the sale will last or when the coupon code will expire.
This video tutorial from the Sure Cuts A Lot 4 Beginner Course explains the differences in the fonts, and also how you can temporarily install them into the SCAL Library.
